Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

The short version

  • The extension works only on Temu product pages. It does not read any other website and does not track your browsing history.
  • While you are signed in, it sends the details of the Temu products you open to HuntEDG, to show you their data and to build a price history that every user shares. Those records describe the product, not you.
  • Your account holds your email, your settings and the products you choose to save. You can delete all of it yourself, at any time.
  • We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers or use it for ads.

1. Who we are

HuntEDG is made by Al Rafah Digital (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the HuntEDG Chrome extension, the dashboard at app.huntedg.com and this website, huntedg.com. Questions about it go to privacy@huntedg.com.

2. What HuntEDG does

HuntEDG has one purpose: helping people who sell on Temu evaluate a product before they stock it. On a Temu product page the extension shows the listing’s figures, estimates profit on the costs you enter, flags products that may need safety certification, summarises what unhappy buyers complain about and shows the product’s recorded price history. The dashboard keeps the products you save. Nothing in this policy is collected for any other purpose.

3. What the extension reads, and where

The extension runs on pages at www.temu.com and nowhere else. On Temu, it acts only on product pages, which it recognises from the product number in the page address. On any other Temu page it shows no panel unless you open one from the toolbar, and sends nothing.

On a product page it reads what the listing shows:

  • the product’s Temu ID, title, category, page address, images and, for each variant (such as a colour or size), its name, price and picture;
  • the current and original price, discount, currency and market, and any low-stock notice;
  • the rating, number of reviews, the sold count Temu displays, and the seller’s store name, ID, store sales and number of products;
  • the share of reviews at each star rating, and the reviews Temu loads on the page. The extension reads the 1–2★ reviews on your computer to count common complaint topics (such as “arrived damaged”). Only those counts leave your computer, never the text of a review or anything about who wrote it.

It does not read your browsing history, other tabs, other websites, or anything you type outside its own panel. It does not read your Temu account, orders, payment details or messages.

4. What is sent to HuntEDG, and why

Only while you are signed in, the product details listed above are sent to HuntEDG’s servers over an encrypted connection when you open a product page. They are used to:

  • show you the product’s data in the extension and the dashboard;
  • build its price history, which is shared: a price is recorded at most once every six hours per product and market, from whichever user opens it, and every user who views that product sees the same history;
  • show the review summary and complaint counts for the product.

These records are stored as observations of the product, not of you: the stored product data and price history do not record which user sent them. The request itself comes from your signed-in session, and we note on your account when the extension last connected, so the dashboard can tell you whether it is set up.

A product is linked to your account only when you choose to save it to your shortlist.

5. Your account

To give you an account we keep:

  • your email address and a hashed form of your password (never the password itself);
  • a display name, if you give one;
  • your settings: your home and selling markets, working currency and exchange rate, fee and return-rate overrides, profit targets, and the shipping details you enter for the logistics planner;
  • your shortlist: the products and variants you save, with the costs and notes you add to them.

Your settings are kept on your account so the extension and the dashboard give the same answers.

6. What stays on your computer

The extension keeps a few things in Chrome’s local extension storage, on your computer only (it does not use Chrome sync): your sign-in tokens, a copy of your settings, its layout, theme and window position, costs you type for products you have not saved, and a short list of products it sent recently so it does not send them again. Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

The dashboard uses two sign-in cookies, which page scripts cannot read, and remembers your light or dark theme in your browser. HuntEDG uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party tracking or analytics tools.

7. Beta signups

If you join the beta on this website, we store your email address, the answer you give to “Do you sell on Temu?” and the date. We use them only to contact you about beta access. No newsletter, no marketing, and nothing shared. Ask privacy@huntedg.com and we will delete your signup.

To stop automated signups, we count how many come from the same internet (IP) address. That count is kept for one hour and then deleted; the address is never saved with your signup.

8. Chrome permissions

The extension asks for as little as it can. Each permission and why:

PermissionWhy it is needed
storageKeeps you signed in and remembers your settings and layout on this computer.
Runs on www.temu.comLets the extension read the product listing you are viewing and show its panel beside it. It acts only on product pages.
Access to HuntEDG’s serverLets the extension sign you in, load your settings and send product details to HuntEDG. This is the only server it talks to.
Review helper on temu.comA small script, usable only on temu.com, that passes the review data Temu loads on the product page to the extension, so it can count complaint topics.

It does not ask for access to your tabs, browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, cookies, or any website other than Temu and HuntEDG’s own server.

9. What we never do

  • sell your data, or share it with data brokers or information resellers;
  • use it for advertising, or to build profiles of you;
  • use it to judge creditworthiness or for lending;
  • track your browsing outside Temu product pages;
  • let anyone read your data, except where you ask us to (for example when you write to support), where it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, or where the law requires it.

The use of information received from the HuntEDG extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Who else handles the data

We use service providers to host this website, the dashboard, our servers and database, and to route our email. They process data only on our behalf, only to run HuntEDG, and may not use it for anything else. Like any website, that hosting keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, such as IP address and time, for security and troubleshooting. We will disclose data if the law requires it, and if HuntEDG were ever sold or merged, this policy would continue to apply to the data collected under it.

11. Security

Everything between the extension, the dashboard and our servers travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Sign-in cookies cannot be read by page scripts, sessions expire, and changing your password signs out every other session. Sign-in attempts are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data.

12. Keeping and deleting your data

  • Your account is kept until you delete it. Delete it yourself under Account → Security in the dashboard: your account, settings and shortlist are removed straight away and cannot be recovered.
  • Product records and price history are kept, because they are not linked to you and other users rely on them.
  • Beta signups are kept until the beta ends or you ask us to delete yours.
  • The extension’s local storage is removed when you uninstall it.

13. Your rights

You can see and change your details and settings in the dashboard, export your shortlist as a CSV file, and delete your account at any time. You may also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and, depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data-protection law, including complaining to your local authority. Write to privacy@huntedg.com and we will reply within 30 days.

14. Children

HuntEDG is a tool for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects what the extension collects or how it is used, we will say so here before the extension changes, and ask for your consent where the law or the Chrome Web Store requires it.

16. Contact

Privacy questions and data requests: privacy@huntedg.com. Help with the product: support@huntedg.com. You can also read what HuntEDG claims, and where it stops.
